I hope you are enjoying a wonderful holiday for Saint Jean Baptiste.
Here is a photo of my mom today, with the Mother's Day flowers that I sent to her. She lives in Kitchener, Ontario, a bit too far for a weekend drive, so I couldn't be with her today, but we had a nice, long telephone conversation. I love my mom.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, aunts, and other caregivers of my students.

I'm at my father's home not far from Perth, Ontario for the weekend. He lives in the woods, so there is always lots of wildlife to watch and photograph. The deer that were here last time I visited have left for the season. Now it's time for bird watching. Here are pictures of some bluebirds that have moved into one of his birdhouses. I also got some pictures of a mallard duck on his pond.
Unfortunately I am home sick today. A substitute teacher will give an alternative lesson plan to the one noted on the website. My apologies: I will update the site as soon as I can.
I am enjoying the long weekend with my father and stepmother in rural Ontario, about an hour west of Ottawa. We had guests for dinner yesterday, a mother deer and her fawn!
It's the first day of spring! Students from Group 119 decorated our classroom in the spirit of the season.
We don't celebrate Family Day in Quebec, but Ontario, my province of birth, is celebrating today. Happy Family Day!
Also, I am looking forward to returning to school tomorrow, after a three-week absence. See you tomorrow!
